If Baer is right-one must ask why the CIA has not been revamped in the era of Al Qaeda. He certainly makes a compelling argument.

I wonder whether we have fallen in love with our technology (Predator attacks) at the expense of boots on the ground espionage.

Baer was on the Colbert Report last night and also on CNN over the weekend. I'm sure the clip is on the Colbert site for your viewing enjoyment.
He makes some excellent points.
