My Slovak-American was thrilled. Then she asked me what the biathlon was.

It's funny, when I was younger the big event of the Summer Olympics was the Decathlon but they never show that competition anymore. Track & Field is hardly covered at all. Overall I would say there is less coverage of sports and more talk and interview.
