He's may have a point, but I don't think the Haitian government is in a great position to siphon off funds like they could if they were functioning normally (haha). The government itself got tarred pretty bad too.

I do have to wonder, though, if the situation will permit local gangs or warlords to form, either funded through legitimately or illegitimately-obtain aid funds.

Still, I encourage others to donate right now, as long as it's to reputable organizations.
