Thanks for the link, ACG, but a post providing old information isn't an update, even if the zoo pretends it is. An update is actual new information, photos, or video. The info on the zoo's website dated Sept. 14 is meaningless - e.g. the elephants have been forced "to pick up their feet on cue" (read - through the use of a bullhook) since an early age. A similar "update" would describe how they know how to use their trunks to drink water.

Zoospeak is interesting - the Philadelphia Zoo calls old information "an update" and the breeding-holding facility outside Pittsburgh a "sanctuary." Sadly, many people don't question the information.
