Problem is, the "gun culture" in Ireland is related to the drug smuggling into the southwest area and the distribution of those drugs in Dublin, not because all the residents have become Irish versions of Dirty Harry. Somehow, I don't think the drug smugglers are going to worry about the handgun ban.
