But Cobraboy, you have to admit that Haiti is now a place one can visit without too much fear of kidnap or violence.
That was their mission - to stabilise.
They have and continue to stabilise.
If they left things would fall to pieces and this side of the island would suffer greatly too.

As I always said of the (ex?) Labour government of the UK -

When people are criticising their style of operation and not their substance then they must have got some things right.

I feel the same about the UN in Haiti.
