Thanks for the fair and balanced input. It assuages my fears. I was guilty of focusing only on the naysayers which exist on every posting board. Carrying pepper spray is not outrageous for example. I would consider that prudent action on almost any travel anywhere. Maybe I can learn Kung Fu AND better Spanish then I will kack ass on all the bad guys. Thanks again for providing balanced common sense replies. Basically I here you sayiong, have fun, be careful and don't be a naive victum.
