A Malaysian convicted of killing Australian heart surgeon Victor Chang in 1991 arrived at KL International Airport at 9.05pm last night.

Phillip Lim Choon Tee, 50, was released from Parramatta prison on Monday after spending 18 years in jail for killing Chang on Juy 4, 1991.

He arrived on Malaysia Airline flight MH0122 from Sydney and was then whisked away by immigration officers and left two hours later at 11.15pm via the airport staff lane.

A spokesman for Malaysia Airport Holdings Berhad confirmed this to reporters waiting at the arrival hall.
