Metro Vancouver's sixth shooting in a week

Another shooting has hit Metro Vancouver.

A man was found shot in a Vancouver west side grocery store parking lot around 11 p.m. Sunday night.

Vancouver Police were called to the IGA, located in the 2000-block of West 10th Avenue, after they received multiple calls reporting shots fired.

Insp. Mike Cumberworth, of the Vancouver Police Department, said the victim has been taken to Vancouver General Hospital with multiple gun shot wounds.

A suspect was seen fleeing the scene on foot, but no arrests have been made.

Police cordoned off the area and officers with police dogs were searching for any signs of the suspect.

VPD forensic investigators were on scene helping with the investigation.

This is the sixth shooting in the Metro Vancouver area in less than a week.
