Once you ask if they are of the Divine Light and you feel or get a yes from them. Then yes, you have a direct line into the light and not the lower energy beings.

Have you tried any meditation to find your guide? I have them on my podcasts. Why not take some time and get to know them and that way you won't have to worry who or what is helping you. You'll know.
