EternalNight, I wouldn't say it's anything to do with your guides for they would not cause you to feel like you have described. Was this reading psychic or spirit? Whichever it was, I would say you have not closed down rather than it being anything else. You have done nothing wrong for we all learn my our mistakes. Surround yourself within a white bubble when you do readings before you open and always close down afterwards.
