Sorry to hear about your breakup with your girlfriend and the negative energy.

Good question about blocking negative energy and lots of interesting replies. I had a similar question once, not in regards to relationship issues, just the negative energy part , sensing it, and I was told that when I felt this negative energy flowing towards me to make a triangle shape, using your fingers. Open your hands, take your thumbs and touch them together, then take your two forefingers and make a triangle shape and hold this in front of you. I can't remember if there was something that you are also supposed to say, but I am sure you could make up something, like "block this negative energy from entering my space, it is not mine, it doesn't belong to me "

Angel ~ reading your post reminded me of something I saw once on a soap opera. It wasn't related to negative energy, but it could be .... it was using a balloon and there are two versions. Part of it is similar to your letter writing idea. Write a letter, like Angel said to do, put the letter inside a balloon and let it fly away on a windy day. Or when you are feeling the negative energy, just blow up a balloon, thinking while you are doing this that you are removing all negative energy from your body, and blowing it into the balloon - then let the balloon go.

Only problem with this balloon idea, and I have a question here, if one is putting the negative energy into the balloon and then releasing it elsewhere, this is not really a good idea - it is like sending negative energy out into the world , which at times doesn't need any more. So how would one ground the energy, so to speak , or dispose of the negative energy ?
