Do you suppose it comes through around that age because kids are more open about what they believe it? They have no preconceived notions about what is real and not real, so they believe in what they experience.
I'm not sure to be honest why this age is relevant for some and not others. I remember where I use to live in another state ....at that age.....and when we finally decided to go back to that state after 20 years....I described the details of the area down to who lived where and how the streets were placed. None of this was told to me by my parents before and it was my idea to go there.

It was fun and also made me feel better about my gifts and they were truly real. Perhaps this was a higher powers will into showing me that what I thought was real was actually real and not a dream.

To each their own and that is something only the person with their experiences will ever know unless they share.
