I agree. They try to raise us the best they can and sometimes they try to hang on and not let go. For instance the first time I took my son to daycare I cried and then again when he went to school. I still find myself hanging onto my daughter and appreciating her being small until it's time to let her grow up.

Parents will always be parents and we will always be their children. Sometimes we just need to learn how to separate what they say and try to control us and become adults with our own beliefs wether they understand or not. Eventually they will be fine and some takes others longer. In the end they love you for who you are and it won't matter. Don't stay in the child role all your life because it's not healthy but it is ok to lean on mom or dad for help when it's really needed.
