You need to realize, years ago I had homemade gingerale and it was AWESOME. I have since been looking for a recipe that was similiar to the one I had years ago.

Now, the last recipe let the mixture ferment for a day or so, without adding the seltzer water. Then, when she made it for people, she would just add seltzer to it. This way we didn't have to drink it within a short amount of time.

It helped on numerous occasions when I had an upset stomach, or felt the flu coming on or a cold.
