Default What’s the Point?
I wanted to do a little survey if I may. My impression has been that although the beliefs of each individual vary, they tend to follow a similar ultimate theme. This is that the ultimate objective, focus, destination, realization, fulfillment or however envisaged has a necessary element of becoming more than just one’s self. Whether this be: a connection to God; an understanding of the universe; a joining with each other or whatever. Only that the ultimate desire of the journey requires in some way the becoming part of something greater than your mortal self. Although by nature at least most of the members of this forum would be on their spiritual quest; this could also be intellectually or physically. I guess I’m just trying to see if my impressions are correct or not.

So the formal question…

Does the ultimate desire of your journey require, at least in some way, becoming part of something greater than yourself?

Of course, if you hold an alternate to this observation, as I’m sure you are aware, feel free to post the details.
