Im not sure it could of been an Angle. It sounds like it was giving you healing with it moving over you, you have nothing to be afraid of.
I see balls also. Gold ones, blues ones that look like they have electricity moving in them and lots of white ones. I think some are like a means of transport for spirits. The gold and purple ones i would say are Angles.

It could also be your chakras as they are balls that spin in front and around you but they dont go away.

Next time look in the middle of it and see if you see wings flapping really fast inside of the ball. I used to see loads of white ones when i was in bed and they had a long body in the middle with wings flapping really fast which gave it the appearance of a ball, i dont know what they where, but i saw a spirit in a friends house once. It was her late father and when he said goodbye he change into a white ball and flew off. So im sure the clear/white balls are how spirits travel.
