i also agree with the latest posts.

personally, i feel karma "hits" on me almost instantly as we approach the transition, so i am immediately notified if i do wrong things. and i have downloaded lots of music. nothing came back.

it's just downloadable data after all, bits, zeroes and ones. expecting to forbid such data from circulating the internet is like trying to forbid evolution.

i'm a programmer and i get paid for developing software that can be pirated. we've developed ways to prevent that but it's still happening.
thinking about it though, those who use pirated versions would never actually agree to be paying customers, right? so after all there is no loss for the company. you can't forbid them to use the software but they can't make money off it, or they get caught. that sounds fair to me.

would be nice if applicable in music industry as well.

i also think that if you have to "push" someone to pay for something he doesn't feel like paying, you're not a very keen businessman.
