to vithar. i liked the information you gave, and have checked out the irish connection etc, but even though there's all these stories about who jesus really was, it's irrelevant to the actual existence and mystery of the shroud. it's still a physical artifact, and the scientists have been going all out to solve it's mystery. it's a shame you haven't seed the video, because it's gone into in detail. they have found properties in the shroud that are of unknown origin. it's authenticity seems beyond question according to all these mainstream scientists.

they are stumped. they don't know what to make of it. i am so unscientific that i can't even begin to understand what they're talking about (a two dimensional object with hologramic properties) but i catch their excitement and sense of exploring a mystery. one scientist said, "we are going where no man has gone before." anything that has the word mystery in it, i jump at. this is one among many many many.
