thank you so much for sharing that beautiful and overwhelming experience with us. it means so much to me for several reasons. first of all, my friend megan (you all know her as meganarline here at dc) sent me an email back in february or march highly suggesting i listen to a radio interview that george noory did with a hospice doctor from tx who has helped thousands of people make the transition from this life into the next. dr. john lerma is his name and he's written a book called "into the light" and it changed my life! each chapter is a different story about a person's "pre-death" experience (note: i'm not believing that your mother will die!) and communications with angels and loved ones who had passed. now these aren't near death experiences or out of body experiences, but pre-death and the patients were very much awake and alert and aware of what was being shown to them. the stories are of children, men, women, young, old, jewish, protestant, catholic, agnostic, atheist, all walks of life... but they all had similar experiences, beautiful experiences like your mother described. it took away all of the fear i had left in me about death and dying. my own mother died when i was just 20 years old and believe it or not, all of these years i've been thinking that she was not able to hear me or see me or communicate with me in any way. until i read this book i really believed that, but no longer. i talk to her all of the time now and i've even felt her presence on occassion, it's a beautiful and peaceful feeling and very comforting

as i mentioned, this book changed my life and your story just made it all that much more real for me. i sincerely hope that you will continue to share with us lynette. i will be keeping your mother in my prayers and thoughts and have faith that she will recover fully to complete her "assignment" here on earth. the two of you are going to have a marvelous time weaving what you've learned from this into your spiritual journies. i'm so excited for you.
