amelie - i love tolle. i read his latest book first and am now reading the power of now. however, tolle's advice is to live fully in the present moment and not dwell on the past or the future. in order to heal any "wounds" or to practice true forgiveness, i think one definately needs to work on issues in the past in order to truly be at peace in the present moment.

i'll check out nassim's lecture.
i need to get back to reading it as i haven't read any more over the past few days. however, from what i have read, it appears that one of the best blessings the book can give is to help us understand how to quieten the mind. ekhart is not the first person to become enlightened, there are just an infinite number of ways to paint, to portray truth.

i was in a shop today and i noticed a book called "a quiet mind". i think it's the same sort of thing.

ekhart's words kind of resonated with me because i already experienced something as a child which gave me an understanding of pure love/ joy/ oneness.

i feel strongly that while in this 3-d, dense reality- it is very important to take care of our mind, body and souls in order to remember who we really are....otherwise even somebody who has experienced enlightenment may lose their way again.
