it's not happening fast enough. catalysts were everywhere, now it seems the world has crept back into a hazy slumber...
well, 2008 is kinda carrying that motif, but it's carrying quite a bit on its back at the same time.
this is a period where 'old memories', 'old acquaintances', or essentially 'old, unresolved issues' are finding a way to present themselves once more as if to prod you, saying "you need to go back and deal with this... something you never managed to do when it was all originally happening." this is happening on a personal level, mostly, so it's not exactly making headlines in online newspapers. and we're talking old stuff from way back in your personal history, in many cases. we're literally cleaning all our skeletons out of our souls' closets.
this is a period of restlessness, insofar that things, relationships, jobs, & other attachments that aren't particularly nurturing for you are getting discarded, as we are trying to "free ourselves" from situations that are toxic and dragging down our growth. this is happening kinda subconsciously, but i am personally amazed at how all around me, relationships that were previously thought of as "solid" are becoming undone at an unprecedented rate.
quite a few events have flared up, but as david has forewarned us, they just seem to 'work out' and fall away as if no bump in the road occurred at all. a major earthquake in so. california kinda turned into a no-big-deal. a zillion brush fires all around california all at once has kind of dissolved into a faint memory. the georgian crisis has just turned into so many shades of american election politics at work. but there always seems to be the 'next thing' on the horizon, threatening to topple our sense of equilibrium that challenge us to 'stay awake' and pay attention lest the 'wrong outcome' take hold. it boggles my mind that considering that the last two presidential elections were essentially 'stolen', that nobody is even talking about that possibility now. there's always the next crisis to worry about...
granted, i can corroborate your feelings that 2008 started off with a very 'accelerated' feeling, where you could taste the essence of 4d existence just by holding your face to the wind and trying... and that now it's a hit-and-miss thing (and here we have no booklet telling us when those 'hit' periods are actually 'hitting' beyond what our own paltry perceptions can sense).
but the year's not over yet! keep the faith!
