we talked a bit, then he gave me lithium. i was 11.

directly behind my place is a halfway house for mentally challenged. one of the gentleman plays blues guitar extremely loud about 10 hours a day, wears a dog mask and barks at people when they go by. he has a run down old dog that walks at his heel wherever he goes, and is the nicest, saddest little thing you've ever seen.

since i live on a college campus everyone has seen this gentleman and he has a whole folklore around him and is pretty much venerated as a keeper of secrets, "that guy has to know something that the rest of us don't".

who knows either way, but the guy puts a smile on my face anytime i see him walking around my neighborhood cursing at people, waking me up every now and again screaming in front of my house, " i
**** all of your televisions"
