negative beings are not trying to "hold us back" from their perspective. they genuinely feel that their path is "the" correct one and that it is their duty to spread it; but their path is one where separation and control and enslavement are paramount to progression. forcing/persuading others to follow their lead gives them a feeling of justification and power which reinforces their own choices and strengthens their path of control. it makes them stronger, and that is reason enough to do so from their perspective.

sts entities don't hate you. they don't have necessarily militant feelings toward you or anyone else. they are absorbed in their own feeling of rightness and entitlement to their will dominating all others. the only way for sts to deal with the existence of free will while accepting self as primary is to bend/break the wills of others into their control -- making it their will, free for use by them.

those on the positive path attempt to preserve the free will of all, including self, and including those on the negative path. there is, because of this, a very real limitation to their ability, while remaining on the positive path, to shield others from negative influence. they walk a veery tight line.

as for ascension, the negative ets canot "stop" it. what they are really attempting to do is cause more of humanity to ascend toward the negative, as subjugated wills, to strengthen the negative cause. they quite probably feel they are saving you from folly and something they perceive as rediculous (the concept that the self is not preeminent).

the path of separation is the path of control. control ovr both self and others. controlling the emotions/feelings of both self and others are paramount to success on this path. they man not lack an emotional body, but they may certainly be able to hide it from all but the most gifted seers.

i've answered a few of the more pronounced questions which may in turn shed light on others. i've thought alot about the negative path as a matter of trying to understand its influence. i've grown up literally surrounded by it without ever losing my sense of positivity. i hope these insights -- and that's all they are -- help in your situation.
