hi megan

personally i think it is our reaction to everything in our lives that shows us what we need to work on, at least in my experience.

we certainly cannot help the fact that people get sick or are being negative and miserable and we certainly can’t avoid them when they are our loved ones and need us.

but look at what you have said, despite the fact that both of your parents are very sick, as is your mother-in-law who lives with you, and your son and your husband are giving you grief, even your dog’s having trouble, you are “actually quite happy and excited these day”.

it is likely your reaction to all the difficulties around you in staying positive and happy showing you that you are on the right track and to just keep doing what you are doing.
