the difference between ascending to 4d and dying is the difference between going to morocco and getting on a boat.

getting on a boat may or may not precede going to morocco. morocco can be reached by boat, among other means of transportation. you do not need to take a boat to get to morocco: you could take a plane, or swim to get there. boats can take you to other places: spain, india, iceland.

the two actions can be correlated, or even causative one of the other, but not necessarily. they have no inherent correlation.
