no doubt the lack of color pictures in this day and age seems indictment enough that nasa and co. are strictly business as usual on mars: lies, obfuscation, and digital air-brushing. amongst the pictures taken are pictures of the phoenix craft itself, and what appears to be the color check plate for the color camera, similar to the rovers. uselessly portrayed in black and white.
i'm more interested in the highly reflective object they've already photographed:

it appears totally incongruous to the rest of the (monochromatic) terrain. if it were comprised of material indigenous to this terrain we would expect to see other surfaces reflecting as well, but there isn't another glint to be seen in the pictures. just this. hmmmmmmm.
guess we'll just have to try to keep our own eyes peeled, as "they" aren't likely to say much. then again, they did let this photo through...
