i've got a pet cactus called prick. he's got the name for an obvious reason, his shape!

anyway, last year he started to do something very strange. from his normal erect position he developed the droop, bending over about 60 degrees. he then proceeded to turn 360 degrees over a period of about two weeks.
he remained pointing in a southsoutheast direction.

i was curious about this so i turned him around 180 degrees and put a cardboard box (with holes so he could breath) over him. i didn't remove the box for a week, but when i did i found he had turned back to the sse position.

not long after, he returned to his erect position, and has stayed there ever since. very weird.
