i just saw this video and was skeptical until the camera panned out. it could still be a fake. on the other hand i saw a film on discovery i believe about elephant babies that were bieng taken care of after thier parents had been killed by poachers. you could see that the young elephants were very emotionally hurt and the humans really had to help them get out of thier depressions. when the elephants got better and grew up they would let them go they would go out into the wild. some would come back and the humans would have to be carefull and let the elephants dominate the situation and then the elephants upon making sure the coast was clear would smell them. elephants have a very keen sense of smell and remember humans this way.
