hi jigalbra1
well i agree. in "autobiography of a yogi" by yogananda paramahansa is told about a disciple to a yogamaster. he developed all kinds of skills like materializing food, palaces and money. after many years he reunited with his master, very proud of his achievings. the master made him loose all of his magical powers because he had misunderstood the purpose of having them. he had become a "materialistic spiritualist" and had īto start all over again.
i don't like this comparision to jesus and mix with hard-rock and satanistic symbols either. it's too spectacular, which doesn't mean i'm baffeled as to how he actually manages do do all these things.
elisabeth kubler ross, the doctor that have written several books on death, only later in life attended a spiritist meeting and learned that the medium took young girls behind the curtains and seduced and abused them sexually. so magical powers doesn't necessarily have anything to do with true spirituality, wisdom and love.
