is ego our unique identity then?

of course, i don't know. but my best guess would be that the ego is discarded at some point and we are left with a more subtle distinction between selves, having to do more with our individual experiential paths to the creator than to our differing views on reality, since, once the veil is lifted, i would imagine that there would be a markéd decrease in disagreement.

can anyone back me up on this maybe?
