Default The eye in the hand-
hello to all,

ive been reading alot of neat stuff about the ancient american people and i keep running across images of a hand with a eye in the middle of it. the image seems so powerful to me. one of the most powerful feelings ive ever had while looking at a image. my question is its origin. the search for the origin of this symbol is running me in circles.

some relate the image to be the 'hand of miriam' (jewish), some relate it to 'hand of fatimah' (islamic), and some relate it to a southern cult of people that happen to be some of the earliest people here in america.

in alabama, a stone platelet was found with this image of the eye in the hand with a circling serpent around the image. the feeling i had when i saw this image for the first time was totally entrancing. the platelet was found at moundville alabama. the smithsonian took the item and doesnt even have it on display. its like they are hiding it for no one to see.

im curious if others have ran across this image and if so , what feelings did the image bring you? ill find some links to post about this for some that have never heard of it.

america has alot of history that seems to be covered up. there has been ancient symbols and writings in many states. some are hebrew, islamic, and some claim even egyptian writings on caves have been found dating way back when.

so what to make of the image of the eye in the hand??

peace to all,
lynette
