while i cannot relate to being without power, our well ran dry the tuesday before america's thankgiving (nov. 20). so, as of today, we've (my fiance and her kids) been without running water in our household for three weeks. talk about adaptation and flexibility! but, after a few days, you'd be suprised how you'd do. i think of those poor souls in other parts of the world that don't have running water, or even access to clean water. at least we have that.

no running water? no electricity? yeah, us poor souls on the other side of the world have barrels full of rain/well/river water and sporadic (frequent) "lights off" events. it's strangely humbling, and forever frustrating when you're typing a message to divinecosmos message boards and "ohh! lights off! darn!"
