so "evil" can never be overcome no matter how hard we try?

well, i take that passage to mean that the interplay between the poles eventually catapults us into heaven...where apparently we are still not through battling evil but its a very different battle.

but eventually evil is overcome because nonduality means that duality, even though it is the engine of the universe, is nonetheless an illusion, in the sense that one pole really folds into the other. only good is fundamental, not evil. that's why evil is predatory - it feeds off the good because it has no inherent existence.
