perhaps it is not our job to try and change others.
perhaps we can only change ourselves.
technically speaking, trying to change others is the primary occupation of the negative polarity, isn't it? as aspirants to the positive path, we should be looking for ways to accept others, not change them.

have you ever heard of joseph campbell, amelie? he was a very intelligent author and professor. he helped inspire and inform the star wars saga. anyway, he was talking one time about the first time he visited this famous (at that time) indian mystic. the deal was you went in, and it was just the two of you, and you got to ask a question. any question.
now, prof. campbell had the good luck to ask the yogi the same question that the yogi had first asked his teacher, decades before. and it was something like, "if god is everything, and everything includes the good along with the evil, then how can we say 'no' to all the evil?"
and the yogi's answer was, "for you and me, we say 'yes'."
