wow... what a great thread.
rhonda, i too recently saw that piece about the abused cows and it made me cry. sometimes i feel guilty for eating meat, especially what i buy from the grocery store because i have absolutely no control over the way the animal was treated prior to, and in the process of, contributing its life to be eaten. i've heard that meat can be contaminated just from the trauma an animal goes through, so blessing our food and the animal it came from is absolutely necessary. you mentioned billybob, that ghandi and his followers had some trouble when they cut meat out of their diets, and i did too! there are certain blood types that respond better to a vegetarian way of eating but that's not me... i was a vegan for about 18 months and i've never been more unhealthy in my life. i love animals soooooooo much so for me it pretty much sucks having to eat what i would rather just hug (that includes cows and chickens).
i have a longtime friend who blesses her food and prays that it won't make her fat...
she askes that the food be used in her body to bless and nourish it and whatever's not used to be eliminated. she's as skinny and cute as can be so i guess it really does work.
and as for the water billybob and djdeeze, so true... "what the bleep..." showed pictures of those water molecules that emoto affected with his positive words. and when i was at the expo a couple of weeks ago there was a booth set up advertising a brand of water, can i mention it here? aquamantra, that has labels of love, health, hope and luck right on the bottles. the gal said they sell it at whole foods among other places. they were also selling sticky labels with "i am loved", "i am healthy" and "i am lucky" so that you could stick them on any container that holds water in your house. i bought the set of three for $5 but i suppose i could have just made my own
they really are pretty though and i can taste the difference. very strange...but wonderful.
blessings,
kelly
