kelly,
i'd have to agree with what ameliejolie wrote. as for the second part of your post, i usually don't give creedence to information of that sort for more than an hour or so = passing thoughts...
any one of us would be foolish to think there aren't negative forces at work right here right now. but, there are also very beautiful forces at work too. its all in what you choose to focus on - both polarities have a place in the game and its not about "right or wrong". yes, i feel it will get worse before it gets better, but i try to imagine what that "better" is and how to go about "creating it", not what that "worse" will be...
back to the "new age" tag... i too had this same question awhile back. its just a tag that only serves to both "include" and "limit" you. inclusive by means of "hey, i'm a new ager", which to some can sum up alot of what we're about, but also could include wacky nonsense. limiting by way of, again, "i'm a new ager", but only a new ager - i don't think beyond what "this tag" means...
when my office-mate at the college described me as "chunky" (hippie), here was my reply:
...probably the best description would be "one who is devoted to the advancement of humanity through raising individual and collective consciousness." in the end, i believe we are in a state of such rapid disclosure, discovery, and merging of information that any tags are pretty much useless. an example of this growth; i read somewhere that (in america), the jobs that will be there for college freshmen upon graduation haven't even been created yet
(i apologize for not remembering the source).
