hi leo1123, and welcome to the forum. i'm not sure what david said in the interviews you heard and saw, but i'll share my understanding, limited though it is.

the concept of a three-way split is articulated in the law of one material, where it says that if an individual is 51% or more dedicated to the welfare of others he or she qualifies for fourth-density positive. if an entity is 95% or more dedicated to service to self, he or she qualifies for fourth-density negative. and the "sinkhole of indifference" lies in between, and those in that region will apparently repeat third density elsewhere.

the reason that this is fair is that "third density is a choice." those who have chosen get to move on; those who haven't chosen get to try again. as to what exactly happens, i don't think anyone really knows, though we have guesses and hunches, some of which are spelled out in threads like the ones below.
