sorry i am new myself here but i would try to explain some of the things i have read and understand, they could be 'distortions' in themlseves but i will try to explain as i understand it.

if you are afraid and fearful you are succumbing to the negative inclinations on this dimension aka service to self because you are only addressing the needs of your own self and not adressing equally the needs of yourself and others equally. those 'serving others' amdn meaning they love and care about other people more as well as themselves would progress into the 4th density positive. those who are serving themselves would also go to a 4th density sphere but it is the negative dimension. the ones that don't have enough inclination or choice to 'serve others' or 'serve self' essentially would be recycled or would experience third dimension/density again on this world (since i am not sure of there would be a 3rd density earth again after this one) on another world.

i think that whatever your inclination would be, you will be tested again and again by your higher self to see if you are trully on the path that you have chosen. also if everyone realizes that they have been through previous cataclysms in their previous life they would not be fearful of things to come because they would either transition into the next density directly (like stepping through a wormhole personally or through the planet) or indirectly (through death).

finally it is all about experience and choices in life, it is all about one experiencing itself and manifesting that in several densities. how to go about this is left to each person (free will which is the first 'distortion').
