Awakening to the Truth within...
to my fellow seekers in "the dc collective" :d -
i have been pondering this thread for quite some time now, so hopefully the intended message will come across...
each of us has stumbled across this website and forum during our path to truth. we vary in almost every way imaginable, yet, are of "like mind". navigating the endless seas of information, we try to decipher what is true and what isn't. the easiest way to determine this is using our "internal" resonance filters. this can be difficult to do, for if one has a closed mind, then much of the material discussed here and elsewhere would then be filtered.
so, in my opinion, a significant part of awakening is opening our minds to "information". many on this forum have likened this to "remembering" and i totally agree. we aren't really discovering anything new, or "learning" so to speak, but rather, i believe we are each pre-programmed with infinite potential. it is only ourselves who create boundaries, limitations
(ego?).
as we awaken our mind/body/spirit complex, our consciousness is awakened to the inherent possibilities of all that is.
words such as perception and interpretation hold more importance in our daily lives as we integrate our mbs complex into wholeness. oneness. unity.
how we perceive and interpret information creates our reality
(refer to lighteye's thread "the gate of god" - i personally found it very revealing).
information that resonates, "rings true", is easy to accept and work with - it is not filtered by our "protective ego". but, does that mean that information that does not resonate isn't true? could it be that our limitations in our perceptions and poor abilities at interpreting make "true" information false? just because something doesn't "ring true" with you doesn't make it false for everyone... tolerance for interpretation is indeed in order.
these are seemingly simple questions that arose earlier today when i looked up a link referred to in the thread "the gate of god". i was a little disturbed because my interpretation of what i read was telling me i could either believe information such as the loo (much of which does resonate deeply within) or information from their website (again, much of which also resonated deeply). there was a sentence or two in there about believing information only from the ascended masters and not from channelled entities, etc. well, tough. i make the choice on what information i choose to believe in. don't tell me what to do pal. its my free will. don't tread on me.
(visualize one of the earliest us flags with the 13 stripes and copperhead with this statement written on it).
who are they to tell me what to believe and what not to? shouldn't i trust my inner "resonance" filters? yes.
alot of this goes back to a fellow named aaron which posted some rather beautiful words on this forum. however, he also posted some disturbing things and from what i can gather, took an inflammatory stance against the moderators, etc. it didn't take long for him to be banned. but, one of his phrases still rings true deep inside my consciousness - "these words are self-aware".
so, in contemplating "sources" versus "information", i choose to focus on "words that are self-aware" - timeless truths that we can all remember, regardless of source. although i believe the bible is distorted and alot of information is left out, there are still many words which resonate with me.
i believe each source is a little distorted; there is no single "guide" to help us remember. i would agree with something david said though - the loo is by far and away one of the more complete and accurate sources of information - "words that are self-aware" - available to those truth-seekers (us) today. we each have the free will to accept information on this website and within the loo, or not.
in the end, truth is subjective and cannot be "accurately" communicated with words alone. think of the analogy "a picture is worth a thousand words". or how about this, try to describe love. the more one contemplates, the more involved the "objective description" will get, more words, etc. because of this, there is no substitute for experience.
if you want the truth, you can keep searching outside yourself and gain some tidbits here and there that resonate with you - "words that are self-aware". however, the truth exists within (said a million times by now, right?) and must be experienced to be "known".
lastly i wanted to reiterate a point about the upcoming shift we're all preparing for. can you not agree that changes are happening now? so, 2012 isn't some event we're preparing for, it is something we are experienceing here and now. open your mind, open your heart, and take a look inside. :d
love,
art
