really wonderful replies, thank you both.

ewhaz, i'll have to watch that film properly, thank you for filling me in on what happened; it's very meaningful.

i too look forward to the day when we can communicate without words.

markm, that is beautiful~ where is it from?

just now, singing a little to myself in the kitchen, i thought of the words the doors of perception.

maybe it's all in the doors of perception!!!

(not the album, but our "doors" of perception!)

love.
aj i'm on to you! your fiendish plan is to have us all self-destruct trying to keep up with responses!

your remark about the doors of perception sent me back a few years.

from the wikipedia

the doors of perception is a 1954 book by aldous huxley detailing his experiences when taking mescaline. this short book is considered to be one of the most profound studies of the effects of mind-expanding drugs and what they teach about how the mind works.

the title comes from william blake's the marriage of heaven and hell:

"if the doors of perception were cleansed every thing would appear to man as it is, infinite. for man has closed himself up, till he sees all things through narrow chinks of his cavern."

[snip]

i was struggling away in boulder at the university of colorado, being sidetracked from my assigned studies by trying to find answers in all the wrong places. at the time i was infatuated by huxley's books and his idea of a chemical shortcut, as presented in doors of perception, seemed the answer...so i decided to give it the old college try.

even though i was a navy veteran i was still so damn innocent and naive that i actually went to a drug store to buy some of this here amazing mescalin stuff. i got a clue that something was not quite right when the friendly clerk suggested to me in a whisper that i find a student of biochemistry to help me out. and, hey, what did "not over-the-counter" mean??

i finally wised up and closed that particular door!

concerning your wish for better communications, telepathy, etc. is one that will come true for you ... and for all of us. eventually.

i don't want to divert you from reading the wondrous material on hand right here, but there is a wilcock reccomended book that can tell you more about what you are so casually longing for. it is "we the arcturians" by dr. norma milanovich. according to their spokesperson the arcturians are considered by galactic experts in the subject to have the most successful 5th density social memory complex civilization going. such a high validation might just be true.

starting at chapter 4 the arcturian communicator starts with the basics of communication being used at our familiar, pathetic a level -- then goes on and on, way, way past z into utterly alien territory. he/she/it discusses the problems involved with a whole planetary of people all logged on to a telepathic cosmic internet. 3der's are absolutely not ready to handle that tsunami of subtle complexities! we must travel there by following the yellow brick road using carefully placed baby steps ... attempted shortcuts will only find us short-changed -- or even worse, dumped into the lap of the wicked you know who!

okay, you win! i'm done writ out!

much telepathic love and such to all, billybushed :d
