hi! perhaps one of the books you may be looking for, and i don't know if you've read it already, is the gospel of thomas. all it is, is a collection of the sayings of jesus. it was never put in the bible, but it is thought to be the source upon which the gospels in the bible were partially derived from.

there's a great site which holds archives of most all the worlds sacred texts, free to read online. that may be the easiest way to find it, since i think it's hard to come by in physical book form. here's a link to the gospel of thomas on that site:
