i have a strong feeling that mothera teresa wanted to follow all of the mainstream teachings she had learned in order to be recognized by "god" and follow the path of jesus per se. i believe it was more of a mechanical call than anything and she probably would have felt down a lot because when you force something out of yourself it usually doesn't end up well in the overall picture.

i don't always like using the term ego but i am sure it was a different face in the ego she wanted to persue but wasn't aware of it obvioulsy like many don't. not to say it was not a good thing that she did but started to indentify with too much therefore got caught in the abyss of mind/indentity.

these compassionate traits will all come to us eventually after moving through a lot of experience and contemplating what is important as a overall picture and love is always the way home but not when forced or lower vibrational love. higher love is natural compassion and understanding. lower love is obligation and attached. this model takes a while to understand on a personal level but definitely shines through as greater good the more you start to integrate with it.
