you certainly make some valid and well-thought-out points, but i believe that each and every one of us will view this event thru our own personality-colored glasses. what's important to realize is that all events like this can serve as a catalyst toward positive understanding and growth.

i also think that there was a subtle message here that it was no accident that it collapsed when it did. the news media kept saying that if it had happened just an hour earlier, there would have been at least twice (maybe 3 times) as many cars on it. this seemingly defies the laws of physics, because one would certainly think that it would collapse when it had the most weight on it. hmmm....
