a tip i learned from turtledreamers, (to remember dreams with,) is to affirm as you're going to bed that you'll remember your dreams when you wake up.
another thing that inspires me to remember dreams is an internal agreement that i'll share them, with the idea that our dreams are sometimes a reflection of the people around us. that is, we can dream for each other.

last night i had a dream of levitation. it seemed as if along the cliffs of del mar or torrey pines in la jolla. i was levitating in my beach chair and as i flapped my arms, then i would lift high in the air as coasting like a hang glider along the thermal updrafts. there were many people over the ocean levitating like this, it was quite wonderful and we were delighting with each other in the marvels of our new gift. after a while i was navigating through the trees of a forest, it was an incredible feeling. then as i touched down, there was a very large rack of surfboards and i was gifted with a very sleek and streamlined board that must have been fourteen feet long, almost like a paddle board used for big waves. i founnd myself out in the water and some of the sets coming through were tremendous with perfectly shaped faces about thirty feet high, i can remember feeling really lucky to find myself in the right place at the right time with the right equipment.

two nights ago i had a dream of running along very high rope ladders with an old friend. we were carrying big bass drums, one royal blue the other aqua marine colored. we found ourselves high in a tree fort whose interior was completely white. there with us was a mother and daughter who were quietly lounging. i started to play the aqua marine drum, quietly as a calm heartbeat, then suddenly i find that i've lulled everyone to sleep by such drumming. i feel a little bit alone, as not tired - wake up like 3:30am full of energy.
