the mistake here seems in assuming humanity is an example
of intelligent life. i'm fairly certain that there are definitions
of intelligence in the universe that humanity doesn't come
close to qualifying for. its as there really hasn't been a word
invented yet that describes the awe of that intelligence...

and i'm fairly certain that's part of how grace flows from humility.
