david blogged about this and mentioned rats. i'm glad he came to the understanding that rats are not the dirty evil pests we make them out to be. having had a rat for a pet on two occasions i found the little buggers to be more affectionate and loving companions than even cats or dogs. in my opinion, a rat as a messenger, as this clearly was, by this context, is an honor to receive.
