No, it does not matter, unless the mudra makes you uncomfortable.
It is better, when you are in the part of the process in which you are 'almost' there but not quite, that you move your focus away from your body and into your mind. Many people want to know what getting into trance feels like, and I always tell them to forget about how the body feels at this point (it's fine when you're in the relaxation and body awareness actions part of the process- early), but when you get to the part of starting to trance, forget about your body completely and focus on what your mind is doing. Observe and let go your throughts, take on the attitude of conscious observer, listen, and see what's behind your eyelids. Focus on these senses and nothing else, until you get some sort of trance/exit symptom, and then go about loosening and exiting.
