Hi Magic,

It kind of almost sounds like a catch22. In order to be effective out of body you need more experience but you can't get more experience without being more effective.

I think doing things like energy work, meditation, concentration exercises and personal work(introspection, emotional and cognitive) can help. These things have a natural tendency to get you used to altered states of consciousness.

It might not be too good of an idea to get caught up on states of consciousness either though. There are things that happen while out of body that you will be able to bring home and down to earth with you. So you don't necessarily need to be out of body or in a trance to experience somethings that happen while out of body.

For example for some reason it is easier to experience higher emotional states while out of body. Its not really a state though and you don't need to be out of body to experience something like that. You could be writing at your computer or doing something at work or taking a walk and bring what you have felt out of body with you. This probably doesn't make any sense though, lol!
I don't completely understand it all myself yet, still in concept mode.
