Thank you all for responding so quickly. When I said it follows me around i meant that it followed me from my old home to this one; not that it follows my vision. I don't believe it is an artifact of the eye. The hole stays in place no matter where I move my vision. The hole never changes color. It stays black and very vivid until 4 or 5 seconds pass. The second I saw it on my wall it looked like a portal to me or atleast what I would imagine a portal would look like. I'm not sure what the implications of seeing a portal are? The part that worried me the most was that it was pitch black. Not sure if that is significant or not. I hope this additional information is helpful in helping me. heh.
